Welcome to the
official website of BSA Troop 943; the first Boy Scout troop in the capital
city of Beijing China. Troop 943 was initially chartered by the International
School of Beijing (ISB) in 1997 and is part of the Direct
Service Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 943 is an
active, boy-led troop that seeks to develop leadership, character, life-long
skills and instill high values in the youth of our community. Our
Troop offers a high quality BSA program and has already produced 19 Eagle
Scouts, the highest rank available in Boy Scouts. Will you be next?
Membership is open to any
young man between the ages of 11 and 17 holding a foreign passport in China.
We generally meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM at the ISB cafeteria.
You do not have to be an ISB student to join our troop.
"OUTING" is three-quarters
of SCOUTING and if you like camping and other outdoor activities Boy Scouts
could be right for you. Each year our scouts, through their Patrol
Leader Council, develops an exciting outdoor program that takes us to many
interesting and scenic places in northern China. From camping to
hiking along the Great Wall; from skiing in the winter to backpacking,
cycling, climbing, or exploring some of the 100+ Merit Badges the BSA program
offers there is something of interest for everyone in our troop.
I invite you to visit our
troop and learn more about the BSA program and then decide for yourself
if our troop and the Boy Scouts are right for you.
Thank you for visiting our
site and Good Scouting!
